At Ramge Acres, we operate a small rabbitry where our focus is on quality not quantity….we strive to use the best genetics coupled with lots of TLC to raise healthy rabbits. Our family is an active member of the American Rabbit Breeders Association (ARBA), and the Ramge Rabbit Ranch is officially registered with the ARBA as a Mini Rex rabbitry.
At our rabbitry, we have dedicated our efforts on the Mini Rex breed. The Mini Rex is a relatively new breed, presented to ARBA in 1984. By 2001, more Mini Rex were registered with the ARBA than any other breed. The Mini Rex is known for its sweet temperament. Its body is rather short and close coupled. When posed, a Mini Rex looks like a small basketball with a head on it. This popular pet and show rabbit has a magnificent coat that must be felt to be appreciated. The fur is one of the most notable features of this breed and when felt with the bare hands, it is like rubbing a piece of plush velvet. The ARBA recognizes 18 colors/varieties for the Mini Rex, but here at the rabbit ranch we breed, Chocolate, Lilac, Blue, Black and Himalayan.
